LANA LANE AND ERIK NORLANDER -- The First Couple of
Symphonic Rock
(Los Angeles, 20 January 2003) Lana Lane and Erik
Norlander have created some of the most exciting,
engaging and enchanting rock music in recent years.
Appearing together and apart on over 25 albums since
1993, Lana and Erik's musical performances evoke the
majesty of a bygone era and still remind us of all the
great music of today and all that is yet to come.
Lana Lane and Erik Norlander have created an
astounding blend of progressive rock, American hard rock
and European heavy metal resulting in a deeply symphonic
style that is rich and lush, powerful and aggressive,
moody and evocative. Lana's world-class vocals have been
described as "angelic, passionate and sorrowful", and
aside from her own string of highly successful albums,
Lana has been asked to make countless guest appearances
on other major album projects from around the world.
Lana's vocals have appeared on albums alongside many
other legendary vocalists including Glenn Hughes, Bruce
Dickinson and Mark Boals.
Erik's signature virtuoso keyboard work has not only
appeared on his own three solo albums, but also is the
backbone for the highly acclaimed Los Angeles progressive
band Rocket Scientists who have released four albums to
date. Erik's keyboard and production work also provides
the strong sonic foundation for each of the stellar Lana
Lane albums. Erik has also made memorable guest
appearances on many albums including titles by Ayreon,
Star One, Mark Boals, Neil Citron and Magna Carta tribute
albums. Erik also recently completed a massive project as
the executive producer for the the Line 6 GuitarPort, an
interactive computer product, where he recorded over 200
new versions of classic rock and blues tracks (from Led
Zeppelin to Elvis) working with legendary artists such as
Jason Bonham, Simon Phillips, Vinny and Carmine Appice,
Gregg Bissonete, Leland Sklar, Robben Ford, Double
Trouble and scores of others.
Lana and Erik bring their music to the stage with
passion and flair. In addition to presenting favorite
selections from their own body of work in masterful form,
the pair also is renown for delivering inventive cover
renditions of classic songs including the immortal "In
the Court of the Crimson King", "Seasons End", "Dream
On", "Stormbringer" and "Long Live Rock n Roll".
Lana's powerful and dramatic stage presence
consistently creates a memorable concert, and her live
vocalizations add even more emotion and substance to her
already stellar recorded songs. Erik's authoritative live
use of classic instruments such as Hammond organ and Moog
synthesizer give the concerts a depth and authenticity of
sound seldom seen in modern stage productions.
Lana Lane and Erik Norlander are currently supporting
their new CD releases 'Lana Lane - Covers Collection' and
'Erik Norlander - Music Machine' (release date: May 22,
2003) as well as their recent European reissues of five
Special Edition versions of the Lana Lane and Erik
Norlander back catalog titles. As with their last
European tour, Lana and Erik will also offer a new
special limited edition "2003 Tour Souvenir CD"
containing unreleased material available only at their
live concerts. The pair will be appearing in Europe along
with a backing band of top European musicians during the
Summer of 2003.
(Los
Angeles 19 May 2003) Just added! Erik and Lana are very
pleased to announce that Music
Machine vocalist extraordinaire Kelly Keeling
will join their June Euro tour for all shows singing
material from the new Music Machine album as well as
other Erik Norlander music. Kelly will also join the band
on the Lana Lane songs for some earth-shaking
harmonization. Two powerhouse vocalists ... one brief
European tour! Don't miss it! For more information on
